About position

The Department of Economics at the Melbourne Campus of Deakin University is seeking highly qualified Lecturer in Economics Theory. In general, the incumbent will undertake outstanding research, deliver excellent teaching, and provide leadership to junior academics and Ph.D. students. In addition to that, the position holder will be performing the following duties in particular

• Produce outstanding research in journals of international standing.
• Teach programs offered by the Department at both the undergraduate and graduate levels including supervision of research students.
• Provide leadership which enhances the achievement of the Department’s strategic plan in research, teaching and professional networks.
• Furthermore, partake in activities which enhance the profile and reputation of the Department.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in an area of relevance to Economic Theory. In addition to that, an outstanding research profile including publications in leading international journals.
• Experience in teaching relevant courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels including supervision of students.
• Existing networks and an ability to enhance the national and international standing of the Department.
