Position: Assistant Professor of Finance at the College of Business Arkansas Tech
Arkansas Tech University is a public university in Russellville in the State of Arkansas of the United States of America. The university offers programs at both baccalaureate and graduate levels in a range of fields. The Arkansas Tech University–Ozark Campus is a two-year satellite campus in the town of Ozark. Moreover, it primarily focuses on associate and certificate education.
Roles and responsibilities
The position holder will teach undergraduate courses in finance, including financial management, investments, financial institutions management, and real estate, with a starting date of January 6, 2020, or August 2020.
In particular, he/she will be doing the following specifications
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Business.
- Engage students in high-impact learning practices and also advising students on academic and career issues.
- Develop a sustainable scholarship program including seeking external funds to support the program.
- Furthermore, provide impactful departmental, college, university, and professional service to the university, community, and state.
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. (or ABD with completion within six months of starting date) in Finance or a closely related business field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- In addition to that, the ability to develop a sustainable research program that could incorporate undergraduate students.
Preferred qualifications
- Evidence of teaching excellence at the university level and commitment to continuous improvement in teaching, mentoring and working with undergraduate and graduate students.
- Demonstrated abilities in finance, particularly financial management, investments, financial institutions management, and real estate.
- Experience with online instruction as well as the record of scholarly activity and strong research interests in finance and/or evidence of recent consulting relating to finance.
- Commitment to creating and fostering industry relationships as well as eighteen or more graduate hours in Accounting or Data Analytics.
