Position: Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Canada in Egypt

About Position

The University of Canada in Egypt is seeking a prompt and enthusiastic Computer expert to teach higher level students. The position holder will accept the role of Associate Professor of Computer Science under the Department of Science. Here, are the key duties that the position holder needs to perform

• The course delivery, including lecture planning and preparation;
• Similarly, developing and selecting assessment instruments and measurement criteria commensurate with the course level and type;
• Grading and evaluating student coursework as well as administrating and invigilating examinations;
• Providing constructive and timely feedback to students on performance in the course;
• Ensuring that course design and delivery comply with UPEI’s standards and regulations. Faculty/instructors are expected to work closely with UPEI representatives to maintain program quality and assurance of learning;
• Ensuring that they remain up-to-date and incorporate advances in the subject area;
•  Regularly reviewing and updating course content and teaching materials;
• Actively maintaining an understanding of proper pedagogy in the subject area, including utilizing appropriate technology and Learning Management Systems (LMSs) such as Moodle;
• Adopting an approachable and accessible attitude towards students, offering ample office hours, learning support, and informal advice to help students reach their potential in the course and beyond;
• Contributing to the enhancement of existing programs through the various course and program effectiveness measures and deliverables to UPEI and UCE such as course effectiveness reports (CERs) completed after course completion;
• In addition to that, undertaking other appropriate administrative duties in support of UCE and UPEI’s mission of delivering excellence in teaching.

Required qualifications and skills

• Ph.D. in Computer Science. Candidates with a Master’s degree can also apply but must have a very good experience and background in the related field.
• Following, outstanding time-management and interpersonal skills;
• Also, excellent presentation and language skills (verbal and written);
