Position: Criminal Justice Instructor
About position
Rhodes State College of Ohio is accepting applications for the position of Criminal Justice Instructor under the Faulty of Liberal Arts. The Instructor develops curricula and teaches corrections and law enforcement courses within the Criminal Justice Program. In addition, specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.
In particular, the incumbent will do the following tasks
- Develop courses and programs for both credit and non-credit students with embedded industry certifications.
- Use innovative learning techniques to deliver course content and labs.
- Ability to teach all courses within a specific program or certificate.
- Also, assists the Chair with recommendations for hardware/software purchases, instructional scheduling, use of facilities and other related contractual items.
- Similarly, assist with marketing projects and promotion of the College, Business, Technology and Public Service division and individual departments or programs through a variety of activities.
- Develop professionally by continuing to seek and learn new knowledge and skills in engineering technology and other associated areas.
- Responsible for implementation of the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Business, Technology and Public Service division and its programs.
- In addition to that, perform other similar duties as required.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice. Master’s degree preferred.
- In addition to that, previous teaching experience in this environment utilizing an electronic course management system is a plus.
- Must be committed to the two-year college mission, quality instruction and willing to work evening or weekend hours as needed.
- Similarly, must be reliable, conscientious and able to work independently and must be detail oriented and a self-starter.
