Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a publicly funded tertiary liberal arts institution with a Christian education heritage. It was established as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of American Baptists, who provided both operating and construction funds and personnel to the school in its early years. It became a public college in 1983. About Position

Hong Kong Baptist University is seeking energetic, talented, experienced and highly qualified Mathematician to fill up the vacant position of Head of Departement of Mathematics. Required qualifications

• a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field, and abilities to conduct high-quality research in one of the areas: data sciences, mathematical modeling, optimization, scientific computing, and statistics;
• outstanding research achievements with a track record of innovative research and high-impact publications, and capability to bid for and pursue externally-funded research programmes;
• strong commitment to excellence in teaching;
• record of an international network of partnerships and connections with professionals;
• evidence of administrative experience in a higher education setting; and
• effective interpersonal communication and resources management skills.
