Jobs at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) of Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) invites applications from qualified and interested candidates for a position in Communications in the area of media policy effective as of Fall 2020.

Duties

The Faculty position will engage in the duties like teaching undergraduate common core courses in communication.
In addition to that, the candidate will hold regular office hours and participate in extracurricular activities on a regular basis (e.g., internship supervision, capstone supervision, School committees, etc.). Furthermore, the position holder might also need to work on scholarly research production and service to the program.

The ability to teach a few of the following courses Global Communication, Media Policy, Communication and Development, Moroccan Media & Society, New Media Technology, Communication Theory, and related courses will be an asset.

Requirements 

Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to apply for this position

• A doctoral qualification in Media Policy, Communication or related fields.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and service. Similarly, demonstrated high levels of written and oral communication skills in English.
• Furthermore, excellent interpersonal skills with past success in working effectively as a member of a collegial, interdisciplinary team.
• Working knowledge of Arabic and/or French is necessary.
• Experience in the American liberal arts system preferred. Similarly, experience in syllabus design and materials development is a plus.
