Position: Knowledge Management Officer

About position
- Assess the current knowledge management system and processes that the PHIA project has in place. Also, identify gaps and challenges, including priority knowledge that is not already documented and/or easily accessible.
- Articulate knowledge management theory and the underlying principles, processes, enabling tools and technologies to deepen staff commitment to knowledge sharing practices.
- Likewise, understand and share how new communications, collaboration, and information technologies effectively support knowledge management processes.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy that is responsive to the needs of the project team. Similarly, develop and implement knowledge management policies and procedures for the PHIA project.
- Provide training to project staff to ensure consistency about PHIA knowledge and information and transferring it between PHIA project team members and stakeholders.
- Lead information-sharing across the PHIA team to deepen staff understanding of effective strategies and tactics.
- Drive best practices for knowledge sharing among the PHIA team. Also, advise PHIA project team members and stakeholders on ways to facilitate communication, and strategies and mechanisms to institutionalize information.
- Manage the content and delivery system of the PHIA project’s primary knowledge-sharing platform (ICAPOnline)
- Ensure that the platform is effective – easy to use and navigate, regularly updated and institutionalizes important information. Similarly, secure the participation of colleagues in contributing content.
- In addition to that, do other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in education and experience plus 3 years of related experience. However, candidates with a master’s degree in social sciences, non-profit management or related degree preferred.
- Experience working in public health research, or related areas is desirable.
