Position: Assistant Professor of Special Education
The University of Houston Victoria School of Education, Health Professions, & Human Development begins the search of qualified, energetic and enthusiastic professionals to accept the role of Assistant Professor of Special Education. Basically, the appointee will teach graduate and undergraduate special education classes.
It is a nine-month tenure track position with the potential to teach in the summer. However, the primary focus for faculty at UHV is teaching. Faculty typically teach three classes per semester with teaching and teaching-related duties representing between 50-60% of faculty time. The sum of responsibilities include teaching undergraduate classes as well as graduate-level special education and applied behavior analysis classes; developing and teaching new courses; program and curriculum development; scholarly activity; school and university-wide service and committee work; and furthermore, other duties as assigned by the Dean.
