Position: Professor of Management at Otago Business School

Position summary

Otago Business School at the University of  Otago invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Mangement Professor. The Department of Management is the best Management department in the country according to New Zealand’s research assessment exercise Performance-Based Research Fund (PBRF) 2019.

The successful appointee will lead the undergraduate and postgraduate levels including teaching and academic program development. The Professor of Management will maintain an excellent individual international research profile. Similarly, s/he will engage with the business and professional community.

In addition to that, the position holder will engage in various activities and researches throughout the university. S/he might also need to perform some other tasks like engagement in the community or business as well as administrative tasks if necessary.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualification to be eligible for the post

• A Ph.D. in a relevant field or equivalent experience.  In addition to that, demonstrated leadership experience in research, teaching, curriculum development, and professional activities.
• Demonstrated evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Similarly, a record of eminent scholarly research and publication with evidence of a substantial international reputation and an active research agenda.
• A strong commitment to developing collaborative working relationships with colleagues.
