About position

Karlstad University is accepting applications for the position of Senior Lecturer in Media and Mass Communication. In general, the position holder will subject courses, courses on study programs, as well as commissioned courses whenever necessary. In addition to teaching, the duties include supervising students, helping them with assignments and exams. The incumbent will also be accountable for marking and evaluating assessments. Furthermore, the lecturer will be responsible for the coordination and course development, as well as active participation in the development work done at the discipline and department in the areas of teaching and community cooperation.

Qualifications

In order to be eligible for the available position, candidates must have Doctoral qualifications in Media and Mass Communication or closely related discipline. In addition to that, a completed course in higher education pedagogy, or an equivalent qualification will be necessary. However, prior teaching experience in the higher level academic institution will be an advantage.
