Postdoctoral Candidates Vacancy at University of Cincinnati

The lab of Dr. Chenran Wang in the Department of Cancer Biology currently has two postdoctoral positions available. The incumbent will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. S/he will serve temporary appointments, and work under the supervision of a faculty mentor who is responsible for the Fellow’s fiscal and intellectual activities. Appointments will be no longer the five years; however, a short extension is possible if necessary to complete a critical research project.

Key duties 

The PostDoc will do the following tasks

• Perform and conduct the research required by faculty supervisor to a high standard and in accordance with all institutional and federal regulations.
• Engage in appropriate training and professional development opportunities. Also, s/he may support the development of proposals for research-related funding and grants.
• Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research as directed by and also with the support of associated faculty members.
• Communicate to project team progress and results of research activities ensuring that relevant information and issues in the implementation of projects/experiments are captured in a comprehensive and timely manner as possible.
• Furthermore, the position will play an active role in seeking career and research advice, both from the faculty supervisor and from other faculty members as well.

Requirements

Candidates need to have the following qualifications for this Postdoctoral Vacancy at University of Cincinnati

• Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D., required. In addition to that, in-depth knowledge of neuroscience research, cancer research, cell, and molecular biology.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Furthermore, the ability to work and collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
