About position

The University of Basel is seeking a highly prominent, capable and enthusiastic Neurologist to teach Neurology to higher level students. S/he will be performing the following key duties in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel and the University Hospital Basel.

• Professional as well as the personal development of Neurological Clinic and Polyclinic of the USB. Similarly, accountable for the management of the Neurological Clinic and Polyclinic of the USB.
• Delivering the standard teaching service on Neurology or assigned subjects.
• Conducting high-quality researches. Also, guiding and supervising in the research projects.
• Furthermore, promotion of junior staff and organization of continuing education in neurology

Required skill and qualification

The candidate must possess the following qualifications to accept the position of Neurology Professor at the University of Basel.

• Ph.D. in Neurology or related field
• Specialist title FMH Neurology or equivalent qualification

• Outstanding and internationally recognized research achievements in the field of neurology
• Integrative personality with organizational talent and economic thinking
• Enthusiasm for a responsible, innovative and science-oriented leadership
• Willingness to cooperate actively with the faculties of Neuroscience, Immunology, Oncology, Cell Plasticity, and Tissue Repair as well as Biomedical Engineering and with other academic and industrial partners
