Position Purpose for Research Assistant Vacancy at Brandeis

A research assistant at the International Business School assists professors with academic research in the areas of business, economics, econometrics, data analytics, and finance. Additionally, this position will be supervised by various professors in the International Business School and the Department of Economics at Brandeis University. Furthermore, Brandeis University is an R1 research institution, and professors at the Brandeis International Business School and the Department of Economics publish research in top international journals. Furthermore, this position will be a 10-week part-time position consisting of 10-20 hours per week of work.

• Position Responsibilities: Assist professors with research in the areas of finance, data analytics, or econometrics.
• Position Requirements: Master’s degree required. Also, the University will give preference to recent graduates with Master’s degrees in Finance, Business Analytics, International Economics, or an MBA degree with a finance or business analytics specialization.
• Work Experience: Additionally, an internship or a hands-on experiential learning course.
• Written/Verbal Communication: Regularly uses moderately complex verbal and written skills. May make presentations to supervisors and others.
• Knowledge: Also, advanced knowledge of finance, data analytics, or econometrics
• Collaboration: Must be able to work collaboratively with a professor and others working on the same project.
• Problem Solving: Must be a strong problem solver
• Education: Masters Degree required
• Additional Information. Knowledge of excel and standard computer languages is a requirement.
