About Position

The University of Cincinnati is seeking dynamic and capable senior research associate to contribute to a research project in the University of Cincinnati Stimulation Center. Moreover, the research project will be about modeling of transport phenomena, sorption, and partitioning of chemical species in skin layers. Basically, the successful appointee will be the computational scientist leading application and development of mathematical models. In general, those mathematical models are to develop innovative new products and materials which interact with the skin.

Furthermore, the senior research associate will do the following specialization to contribute to the research project

  • The individual must be able to work with a team to define the model requirements.
  • Following, develop the equations which govern a given phenomenon.
  • Implement the equations wherever necessary.
  • Verify the model implementation as well as validate the model.

Required qualifications

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field with specialization in the mathematical modeling of transport phenomena, applied mathematics, and numerical methods. However, the Ph.D. is preferable.
  • Similarly, deep understanding of chemical engineering science, mathematical optimization, and model validation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • However, knowledge of python programming and biological system dynamics will be an asset.
