Requirements
The candidate must have the following qualifications to be eligible for this Vacancy of Biology Professor At Minnesota State University
- A doctorate or terminal degree in a biological science conferred on an official transcript and received in Human Resources by January 7, 2021.
- Productive research record, mainly focused, on oil ecology, sustainable agriculture, agronomic systems, soil management, soil-plant-microbe interactions, or soil health practices as they relate to agronomic systems.
- Accounts of collaborative experiences with producers and other stakeholders in agronomic systems.
- Evidence of knowledge in soil biology and agronomic system
However, the university prefers the candidates having the following additional qualifications
- Exhibition of effective written, oral communication or presentation skills.
- Presentation of the capability to initiate an active research agenda.
- Evidence of recent scholarly activity, including publications and/or professional presentations as well as post-doctoral experience.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will do the following duties
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various areas: soil ecology, soil fertility, plant nutrients, general biology. In addition to that he/she should be able to manage the Agricultural program internships and produce outreach activities.
- Assist in other areas according to the qualification and requirements.
- Deliver face-to-face, hybrid and on-line instructions at the campus, online or at various university locations as assigned.
- Collaborate with colleagues in designing the curriculum, conducting research, creating innovative strategies while mentoring students in research.
- Engage in creative activities to contribute to the growth and development of students and also to provide service to the university
