Duties for Vacancy for Graduate Admissions Counselor

This position will have primary responsibility for application oversight, recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating prospective graduate students for graduate programs for Iona College. This includes meeting/interviewing prospective students; coordinating the admissions process; actively seeking and generating new program development opportunities. Also, cultivating community and corporate partners; attending recruitment fairs and events. Likewise, actively managing a personal contact campaign via multiple mediums to assure exceptional service. Furthermore, the position requires evening and weekend work, flexible hours, and travel.

Required Experience

• One to three or more years of proven experience in recruitment, sales, or outreach in a fast-paced, goal-oriented operation.
• Also, the University prefers graduate, adult, or corporate recruitment experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Likewise, a valid driver’s license
• Similarly, SLATE experience preferred

• Likewise, he/she should efficiently manage territory by analyzing data to determine which events, businesses, fairs, and students to strategically target, and which territorial strategies will be most effective in each market to support goal attainment to support a vibrant and entrepreneurial academic unit.
• Additionally, the incumbent will proactively assist and lead the development of corporate and community partnerships and revenue-generating cohort program opportunities
• Serve as a primary liaison with the Dean’s Offices, Provost, Registrar, and other College offices (i.e. Marketing) in regard to new program development.
• Furthermore, he/she assess, develop, and implement marketing, communication, and recruitment strategies for as an integrated part of College enrollment strategy. Monitor and enhance web content for assigned markets. He/she will also advise and help implement graduate marketing opportunities.
