- The College of Business is seeking a Head Academic Advisor. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
- This position supports the primary mission of the University, College of Business (COB) and Academic Programs.
- Additionally, the individual holding the position serves as the Head Academic Advisor and assists undergraduate students, and the College, with a full range of support.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will do the following duties
- The Head Advisor is also responsible for close collaboration with other University departments regarding academic courses that support degree programs.
- Also, he/she works with the COB Student Engagement team in college recruiting efforts and participates in various University and College-sponsored orientations and events.
- He/she also works with the student information systems and various data files and sources.
- Furthermore, the Advisor keeps abreast of University and College policies and procedures and rules and regulations to assist students in meeting academic requirements.
- Additionally, he/she assumes leadership roles that support academic programs and special projects.
- Similarly, the advisor is responsible for providing oversight for various undergraduate student services, programs and processes provided by the College of Business Advising.
- Also, he/she manages COB Advising personnel, which includes full-time professional academic advisors, as well as several student employees.
- Provide leadership for the administration of COB Exchange programs.
- Moreover, he/she coordinates with Associate Dean for Undergraduate Student Development, School Heads and the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean to manage term course enrollment and waitlists.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Also, five years of full-time, professional experience as a higher education academic advisor.
- Additionally, two years of supervisory experience

- Also, evidence of successful collaboration across various units or teams.
