Job Description and Duties

As a passionate, client-oriented and experienced Agile Business Analyst, you will work in the Business Computing Department (BC) with about 70 colleagues from different cultures, origins, nationalities, lifestyle, and background. The solution, Strategy, and Relationship Management are three consecutive areas that  Agile Business Analyst in CERN usually handles. Further, you will be responsible for the following functions

• Understand the customer journey, desires, and pain-points, and translate it into innovative user stories, wireframes or prototypes.
• Challenge stakeholders to define the real business objectives behind the expressed needs.
• Identify opportunities and provide consultative support for business-led technology initiatives.
• Ensure architectural consistency, apply usability standards and contribute to solutions with a high-quality UX.
• Follow the development of user stories, ensuring product quality through the definition and execution of test cases.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in the fields of Business and Management, Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Previous experience of working as a Business Analyst and Computing Business in the product management environment.
• Knowledge of common business processes/best practices.
• Experience with coaching business analysts and specialists in connecting agile roles
• Experience in the implementation of financial modules of an ERP would be an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written proficiency in the English language. s

Technical abilities

• User relationship management: understanding of user behavior, journeys, and pain-points.
• Capturing and analysis of requirements for ICT systems: deep enough technical understanding to translate needs to a product.
• Process analysis, definition, and improvement: change management.
• Conceptualizing, designing and developing user experiences and interfaces: business computing knowledge in Finance and HR, Logistics and the Supply Chain domain.
• Identification and selection of relevant emerging ICT technologies.
• General understanding of standard accounting concepts would be an advantage. Similarly, the ability to speak and understand the French language.
