Position: Electrical Engineer (Life Cycle Avionics)

About position
SpaceX is seeking a prominent and proactive Electrical Engineer to join the dynamic Engineering team. The incumbent will be performing real-time troubleshooting as the product goes production and qualification.
In particular, the Electrical Engineer will be carrying out the following functions
- Troubleshoot avionics hardware spanning PCBA board testing and defect detection, fully functional testing of an assembled unit, and resolving on-vehicle anomalies.
- Similarly, Design and troubleshoot test setups and associated support equipment to support the execution of testing strategies.
- Write and execute verification test plans, test procedures, as well as test reports against product requirements.
- Modify electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for flight applications as they relate to reliability and manufacturability.
- Furthermore, participate in manufacturing assessments of new designs and drive optimization for manufacturability and cost.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. However, candidates with Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant field.
- In addition to that, a minimum of two years of experience with circuit board design, environments testing, or unit level testing (significant academic projects, internships, and traditional professional experience all qualify).
- Similarly, two years of experience with electronic components, wire harnesses, and electrical test equipment. (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
- Professional experience with physical sensors, specifically pressure, acceleration, strain, and temperature is preferred.
- Likewise, Experience with 3D CAD (Unigraphics, Solidworks or similar) as well as Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, SPICE, SQL, and/or National Instruments hardware will be an asset.
