Position: Scholarship Program Associate
Responsibilities
The Scholarship Associate assists senior staff members in the development and administration of the scholarship program. In addition, s/he will be doing the following duties in particular
- Provides technical and administrative support in the development of the annual work plan and budget of the Division.
- Collects and compiles the data for the strategy and impact studies related to the Division’s programs.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and improvement of processes and procedures related to the assessment of candidates.
- Supports senior staff in the design and implementation of activities for various stakeholders and partners.
- Maintains a database of all existing and potential partners, beneficiaries and graduates.
- Responds to queries by scholarship applicants. Similarly, verify applications in terms of completeness for different scholarship programs as per established guidelines.
- Initiates and follows up on disbursements, reimbursements, insurance payments and other support services to the Counterpart Organizations (CPOs), IDB Graduates’ Associations (IGAs), universities, Honorary Students’ Counsellors (HSCs) and students/scholars.
- Assists monitoring of payments, recording in General Ledger, reconciling and coordinating with external Banks.
- Assists in planning and implementation of meetings and events as well as assist to maintain communication with scholarship programs’ recipients and partners.
- Compiles performance reports of the selected candidates during their scholarship tenure.
- Furthermore, responding to emails, letters, telephone queries from prospective applicants seeking scholarships; also ensure proper maintenance and archival of all information exchanges.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or any other related field.
- In addition to that, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in scholarship programs management or education-related institutions, ideally in similar type multilateral institutions.
- Strong Knowledge of the English language. Similarly, knowledge of Arabic and French preferred.
