Plan International announces the vacancy opening of the Community Development Facilitator in the Philippines.

The incumbent will facilitate the project implementation with the partners at the municipality and Barangay level. In addition to that, the Community Development Facilitator conducts community mobilization and organization, and conduct community-level activities for the project.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Development Facilitator will perform the following duties

• Strengthening existing alliances of children, adults, civil society and mandated local government groups.
• Analyzing priority needs/rights violated during community activities and other related for children and youth.
• Facilitating capacity building of partners including children in project management & resource mobilization; and.
• Document community projects, activities, and processes.

Requirements 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications in order to be eligible for this vacancy of Community Development Facilitator at Plan International

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related courses. Background on Community Organizing, Community Development, Child Protection, Child Rights and Gender Sensitivity preferred.
• Previous experience in coordination and facilitation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work within teams.
• Computer literate including the use of the Microsoft Office platform, email, and social media.
• Pro-active and able to work with minimal supervision. Similarly, willing to be assigned in District 1 – Tondo, Manila.
• Furthermore, applicants must have the right to work in the Philippines without restrictions. Local applicants are preferred.
