Position: Proposal Pricing Specialists
Roles and responsibilities
In particular, the position holder will be doing the following tasks in the premises of Save the Children-US
Cost Proposal Development (60%)
- Review and analyze solicitation documents. Similarly, prepare required cost documentation and annexes.
- Complete detailed spreadsheet reviews to check for mathematics and formulaic errors, compliance factors and alignment against other guidance or parameters as defined by the Cost Lead. Also, proofread and copy edit budget narratives.
- Organize the production of final cost proposal which includes document production, error checking, “white glove” read-throughs and formatting.
- In addition to that, lead cost proposal development on sub-recipient opportunities (building proposal budget and narrative in accordance with instructions and standards from prime applicant, proposal team and internal policies and procedures)
- Furthermore, serving as Partner Budget Coordinator liaison to sub-recipients (review cost proposal submissions, negotiating budget matters and track/follow up on partner deliverables).
Knowledge Management (25%)
- Track and execute enhancements and revisions to tools, templates and guidance documents.
- Similarly, improve functionality, efficiency, and productivity of current tools and templates.
- Also, manage the intranet-based resource library, ensuring that all intranet pages are current and functional;
Team and department support (15%)
- Assist Senior Director with the maintenance of different team management, knowledge management, and reporting platforms.
- Assist with the preparation and development of materials for the department’s Learning Strategy. Furthermore, support Proposal Managers and other department staff as needed.
Minimum qualifications
- High School Diploma. Bachelors degree preferred.
- In addition to that, minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in international development, non-profit/NGO sector. Also, 2-3 years’ experience in proposal/business development.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Following, a basic understanding of international development and U.S. Government business requirements and ways of working
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail, and work under pressure with flexibility for competing/evolving priorities. Similarly, the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
- Ability to undertake primarily international travel, up to 15% of the time, occasionally on short (one week’s) notice
