Duties and Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager working under the Creative Europe Desk UK British Council will be responsible for the following operations
- Coordinating the Creative Europe Desk UK key messaging and track engagement progress with a monthly engagement plan
- Supporting the Creative Europe Desk UK team across all partners, including DCMS, BFI, ACE, Welsh govt, and Creative Scotland
- Ensuring that CED UK is making best use of the communications channels and resources available
- Managing the CEDUK website, e-newsletter and social media channels, including any ongoing maintenance and/or decommissioning
- Messaging and highlight Creative Europe in the UK, including making use of CED UK and partner digital channels; press; events and campaigns (especially those facilitated by the British Council)
- Coordinating occasional Parliamentary Questions
- Ensuring that CED UK is capitalizing on the heightened interest in Creative Europe to highlight the value of Creative Europe and showcase its impact, including creating case studies and reports about the programme successes
- Helping ensure CED UK is proactive in identifying opportunities to engage appropriate high-level influencers and Government about the value of Creative Europe
- Developing proactive and reactive messaging around cultural and political developments
- Monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of the Creative Europe Desk UK marketing and communications and create future strategies based upon this.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- a university degree on the related discipline or university degree with relevant work experience.
- some years of experience in managing marketing for art or equivalent cultural institution.
- experienced in planning and evaluating marketing campaigns, including the effectiveness of paid advertising.
- ability to handle social media and digital marketing.
- familiarity with CMS and caliber to manage contents on websites.
- Demonstrable experience of commissioning design, brand management and managing print production.
- ability to handle different workstreams simultaneously.
