Details
Apply for the Risk and Compliance Officer Vacancy at WFP in Madagascar. Under the direct supervision of the Representative and the general orientation of the Head of Administration & Finance Unit, the RCO is mainly in charge of:
Support the process of integrating risk assessment into planning by developing and/or monitoring the main risk parameters. Likewise, regularly update risk registers, including progress in implementing risk mitigation measures identified.
Also, the incumbent will help the Heads of Units to analyze and strengthen existing risk and compliance processes and to maintain an effective internal control environment for operational efficiency.
Likewise, ensure through advice and analysis that the use of all WFP resources is in line with country office strategic / project plans.
Additionally, make proposals on improving adequate internal control systems with a clear distribution of the level of responsibilities, including performance and risk management systems, monitoring and control processes and techniques, tools, processes to support their implementation.
Moreover, he/she will contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOP) of compliance.
Additional Duties
Support the Heads of Unit in the preparation of information on the risks that Management must share with external stakeholders.
Additionally, assess information/training needs and prepare and deliver training programs or information sessions for OC colleagues.
Similarly, support the risk management focal points in the field offices.
Likewise, he/she will demonstrate managerial and functional skills in team management and capacity building for effective results.
Additionally, work in close collaboration with the Head of Administration & Finance Unit for the preparation of annual reports relating to the declaration and assurance of the level of internal control of the Country Office.
Other related tasks.
Qualifications for Risk and Compliance Officer Vacancy
Holder of a Higher University Diploma in commerce / public administration, finance, accounting, international development, audit, or other relevant fields.
Additionally, he/she should have at least 3 years of relevant progressive responsibility experience in carrying out and/or contributing to risk management activities.
Also, have experience in program/project management
Carried out monitoring and reporting activities, demonstrating knowledge of the results hierarchy, performance measurement, and evaluation
Likewise, participation in risk analysis and the development and/or implementation of risk mitigation strategies
Additionally, having audit experience and having a fraud examiner certificate (CFE) will be an asset.
Linguistic aptitude: Mastery of the French language and good level in English (Level C).
