UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services) is looking for motivated, highly qualified and experienced Recruitment Officer at Senior level to assist the team in the capital city of Sri-Lanka, Colombo. This is an ideal opportunity for the experienced and qualified officer to join and lead the team of UNOPS.
Roles and responsibilities
- Utilize sourcing strategies and resources to attract and identify qualified/passive applicants that align with the organization’s mission and values
- Attract applicants by placing job advertisements on social media, job sites, professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
- Provide excellent customer service in consulting with and guiding hiring managers in comprehensive recruitment practices as it relates to interviewing HR policies, and processes.
- Manage candidate and applicant activity in the ERP systems
- Conducting first round interviews, facilitate second round interviews with relevant team members and gather feedback from second-round interviewers
- Provide an efficient customer service approach to all applicant responses, and providing candidate feedback
- Review applications/resumes for appropriateness of skills, knowledge, and experience
- Monitor and ensure that candidates are moved through the recruiting/hiring process in a timely, fair and equitable manner
- Represent and promote the organization at job fairs and events as appropriate
- Develops, tracks and maintains an active qualified talent pool of returning applicants and new applicants
- Assist in training hiring managers and program owners on interviewing techniques and appropriately dispositioning candidates in accordance with guidelines
- Ensure and emphasize guidelines/regulations for employment practices
- Collect and analyze data on hiring activity for use in designing recruitment plans and projections.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Required qualifications
- aster’s degree in HR management, business or relevant area
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accreditation with additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu.
- Formal training in human resource management an asset.
- A minimum of 2 – 3 years of professional experience in human resource management and personnel recruitment.
- Experience in staff recruitment, forming and successfully managing teams, and ensuring the quality of their products is a distinct advantage.
- Experience with database development and management in the human resource field experience is preferred.
- Proven strong teamwork skills and ability to deliver results within specified time-frames.
- Experience of similar MCA Compact or World Bank project is desirable
- Strong English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
