Technical Program Manager, Data Center Operations position is available in Google. As a Data Center Operations Technical Program Manager, you will be deeply involved in nearly every aspect of colocation operations of Google’s electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure. You will partner with the Data Center Engineering team, Hardware Operations, Network Infrastructure and third-party data center vendors and operators with a focus on operability, maintainability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the data center Business Continuity Program. Develop and implement plans to ensure that each data center is prepared to continue the business through disaster scenarios.
• Also, act as the operations liaison to our corporate disaster recovery and testing team. Develop and prioritize test areas and implement data center drills.
• Work closely with the global training team to develop and implement innovative ways to train the team (e.g., simulators, hands on training, virtual reality, etc.).
• Likewise, lead various projects and programs as needed to drive long-term objectives for the Data Centers team and beyond.
• In addition, identify process breakdowns across organizational workflows and implement solutions that improve effectiveness. Improve processes continuously.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with 24X7 mission critical operations. . maceutical, power, nuclear, or other industries, including military).
• Experience with financial analysis for instance, cost of ownership analytics.
• Moreover, Ability to travel in region up to 50% of the time.

Preferred

• Advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering.
• Also, Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and engineering experience.
• Experience managing teams and complex projects.
• Furthermore, Solid understanding of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) as well as design principles of electrical and mechanical engineering, data analysis and operations reliability.
• Excellent data analysis, risk assessment, and problem solving skills. Excellent ability to forecast resource requirements in a data-driven way.
