• The MPTF Office is a UN center of expertise on pooled financing mechanisms.
• Additionally, it supports development effectiveness and UN coherence through the efficient, accountable and transparent design and administration of innovative pooled financing instruments as well as the provision of advisory services for fund operations.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will do the following duties

• conduct research
• Also, write short reports, briefs, concept notes and prepare PPT
• Additionally, assist in the organization of consultation with stakeholders, meetings and other events
• Similarly, publishing knowledge stories/best practices, etc
• Likewise, any other tasks as assigned by the reporting managers

Qualifications

The candidates must meet the following criteria for the Vacancy for an Internship at the United Nations in the USA.

• They must have excellent research skills, combined with a proven analytical aptitude and ability to tap into a vast array of traditional and new knowledge sources.
• Also, they should have good writing skills, as well as strong analytical aptitude and strong communication skills.
• Additionally, they should have strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work flexibly

Educational Requirements

They must be students in the development, business, international relations, law or related fields who are currently

• i) enrolled in a graduate school program
• or ii) enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent)
• or (iii) have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
• Also, all applicants must be fluent in both written and spoken English
• Furthermore, additional UN languages (especially French, and Spanish) are a distinct advantage.

Duration of the Internship

• The Internship lasts for a duration of 6 months(max)

However, a number of interns, have gone on to further assignments with the UNDP or elsewhere in the United Nations system.
