Duties
Support to programme development and planning
- Responsible for the situation analysis on Nutrition component for the development, design and management of nutrition-related programmes/projects.
- Additionally, increased attention to local drivers of malnutrition in all its forms (overweight & obesity, stunting, wasting, micronutrient deficiencies).
Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results.
- Coordinate and facilitate the Early Moments Matter initiative, which focuses on addressing childcare, well-being, and associated challenges between the third month to the third year of the child’s life.
- Also, participate, reporting, and contribute to effective program management, monitoring, and delivery of agreed results.
Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
- Identify, capture, synthesize, and share lessons learned for knowledge development and to build the capacity of stakeholders.
- Additionally, apply innovative approaches and promote good practices to support the implementation and delivery of concrete and sustainable program results.
- Also, research, benchmark, and report on best and cutting edge practices for development planning of knowledge products and systems and so on…
Qualifications
- Advanced University degree in one or more of the following disciplines: nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, and global/international health and nutrition.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: nutrition, public health, nutrition planning, and management, or maternal, infant, and child health/nutrition care.
- Additionally, experience NCD prevention is an asset.
- Also, experience in health/nutrition program/project development in an International NGO/UN system agency or organization is an asset.
- Likewise, he/she must have high fluency in English and Thai. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
- Also, proven proficiency and knowledge of relevant computer applications.
- Good organizational and communication skills; and analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Additionally, the ability to be tactful, exercise discretion, be a self-starter and demonstrate good judgment.
