Role Overview: E T Consultant (Energy)

The E T Consultant will be a key member of the World Bank’s Energy & Extractives Global Practice, supporting both operational and advisory work in Zambia and Zimbabwe. The role combines strategic policy engagement, project implementation, analytical support, and stakeholder coordination.

The consultant will spend at least 30% of their time in Zimbabwe, supporting cross-border and regional energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The selected consultant will:

• Support preparation and implementation of World Bank energy projects
• Assist governments in implementing Energy Compacts under Mission 300
• Track progress and provide technical and advisory inputs on energy reforms
• Coordinate with development partners and donors to maximize impact
• Support policy dialogue on renewable energy, energy access, and utility reform
• Contribute to analytical work, policy notes, and sector studies
• Facilitate coordination with IFC, MIGA, and private sector stakeholders
• Support off-grid and last-mile electrification initiatives
• Assist with project documentation, aide-mémoires, and official missions

Who Should Apply
