Established in 1746 as  as the College of New Jersey, Princeton University is the fourth oldest institute of higher studies in the United States. Princeton is a private and coeducational Ivy League university which is world-renowned for research. It has distinction in the transmission of learning opportunities through its undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the fields of arts and humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. The university has its affiliations with 65 Nobel laureates, 15 Fields Medalists and 13 Turing Award laureates. Furthermore, Princeton is associated with 21 National Medal of Sciencewinners, 5 Abel Prize winners, 5 National Humanities Medal recipients, 209 Rhodes Scholars, 139 Gates Cambridge Scholars and 126 Marshall Scholars. Princeton offers need-blind financial aid to its applicants. Moreover, its financial aid program is designed to encourage all qualified students — regardless of financial circumstances — to consider applying for admission to Princeton. If offered admission, Princeton will meet 100 percent of your demonstrated financial need with a combination of grant aid and a campus job. Princeton is one of a handful of universities that applies the same policy to international students. When considering the facts, the average financial aid to its students is $ 54310, the average grant covers the full amount of tuition and 100% of the students’ need are met.
