Through the 2022 Call for Code Global Challenge, you can learn about AI, cloud development, and emerging technologies while you make a difference. Form a team and take on sustainability issues from improving supply chains to clean energy solutions and the protection of biodiversity.
By participating in the Global Challenge, in addition to the chance to win prizes and implementation support, you’ll build critical skills for yourself and your team and contribute to projects that have the potential to help our planet.
Prize
- The Grand Prize winner will receive $200,000 USD as well as solution implementation support from IBM and the Call for Code ecosystem.
- 1st runner-up: $25,000 USD
- 2nd runner-up: $25,000 USD
- 3rd runner-up: $10,000 USD
- 4th runner-up: $10,000 USD
- University prize winner: $15,000 USD and guaranteed acceptance to the CGI U 2023 class, including access to the full CGI U 2023 Annual Meeting.

Eligibility
- This contest is void to residents of US embargoed countries
- In addition, employees, employers, officers, and directors of:
- IBM Group, including Red Hat
- government agencies, departments, branches, instrumentalities, and public enterprises, whether regional, national or local
- any advertising and promotion agencies, and those individuals and entities involved in the preparation of materials for, administration, organization, and/or execution of this event and/or this Contest
- the immediate family members
- university or college students employed by their educational institution for part-time work, through work-study programs or otherwise, are eligible to participate in the Contest.
- all team members must be students that have been enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education at any time during the 2022 Call for Code Global Challenge
