Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival 2019 is calling for entries. Balkans Beyond Borders (BBB) is a nongovernmental organisation dedicated to promoting youth mobility as well as cooperation in the Balkans. In addition, fostering dialogue, interaction and innovative learning among young people in the region, Balkans Beyond Borders aims to contribute to the better future and Europeanisation of the Balkans.

The event is an annual thematic Film Festival that takes place in a different Balkan city each year. Moreover, it celebrates Balkan diversity and engages audience and creators to reflect on pressing contemporary issues through the medium of short film. This year the festival challenges motivation and filmmakers’ creativity through the title: e-motions.

Benefits

• The festival gives the opportunity to the next generation of filmmakers to create, share and present their films, meet, collaborate and also create solid partnerships in the cultural sector.
• In addition, BBB Short Film Festival will give three awards: Best Film, Audience and First Entry Award.

Eligibility

• All film genres with duration up to 30 minutes focusing on fiction, animation, experimental and documentary shorts, as well as digital arts.
• For young artists up to the age of 35 from the Balkan region
• If the participant is not from the Balkan region the production can be Balkan or the film to refer to the Balkans.
• The files of the films should be in one of this format: AVI, MP4 or MOV and high quality.
• Likewise, the film should be uploaded in its original format with English subtitles
• Each participant has the right to participate with one film only
