The Chelsea International Photography Competition in USA

The Chelsea International Photography Competition is organized by Agora Gallery in New York City. This competition provides a great opportunity for the exposure of work by amateur as well as professional photographers alike. With a distinguished panel of jurors and prizes valued at more than $55,000, the Chelsea International Photography Competition is an excellent opportunity for photographers seeking the possibility of national and international acclaim.

The Chelsea International Photography Competition will open for submissions from July 18 through September 13th, 2017.Early Bird Submissions (July 9-July 17) entitle photographers in both Amateur and Professional categories to submit up to 2 additional images free of charge.

Award

The work of selected artists will be presented at Agora Gallery, located in the heart of the Chelsea arts district in New York City. The Chelsea International Photography Competition exhibition will be open in late January 2018.

Eligibility

There are two competition categories:

• Amateur
• Professional

National and international submissions are welcome. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Submission Categories

You may submit your artwork to one of two categories:

Amateur photography: Amateur photographers are those who engage in photography for pleasure rather than for professional purposes or gain. Their engagement with photography is more casual.

Professional photography: Professional photographers are those who have a solid body of work, a number of publications in their name and/or earn the majority of their income from the practice of photography.
