Applications call for Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre’s International Poetry Competition. The Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre’s International Poetry Competition celebrates the power of poetry across the world. The competition is open annually to all poets aged 18 and over from across the globe and has two categories:
It costs £5 to submit one poem into the competition or £4 per poem for more than three entries. Entrants may submit a maximum of ten poems, following the instructions in the Oxford Brookes Shop. All entries must be unpublished work. Please read the full competition criteria and terms and conditions before entering. They are available on this page.
The competition opens for entries on Monday 21 June 2021 at 01:00 (UK time) and closes on Monday 20 September 2021 at 23:00 BST/22:00 GMT. The results will be announced in late October 2021 and Oxford Brookes University Press will e-mail all entrants to let them know about the winners and shortlistees.
Will Harris is the judge of this competition. Will Harris is a writer of Chinese Indonesian and British heritage, born and based in London. His debut poetry book RENDANG is published by Granta in the UK and Wesleyan University Press in the U.S. It was a Poetry Book Society Choice, shortlisted for the T.S.
