Prix Levallois Grant 2019 is now open for applications. The Prix Levallois is a springboard for young international photographic creation. The City of Levallois organizes every year the Prix Levallois in order to support young international photography, an opportunity to encourage and promote new talents. The award is one of the world’s best endowed awards in support of emerging photography. A freedom of tone and expression that seduces young photographers whose approaches are free from any artistic division. The Prize doesn’t require a theme nor a format, only the quality of the work counts in the process of selecting artists.

Benefits

The winner will receive €10,000 as well as an exhibition at the Galerie de L’Escale in Levallois in October-November 2019. The Jury can only grant a single award; it may yet select a Special Mention. The Special Mention receives a DSLR camera. In addition, award-winning photographers will be guided by the curators who will help them finalise their project.

Eligibility

The Prix Levallois is open to young photographers born after January 1st, 1984, of any nationality.

Applying

You need to apply online in order to get considerations for the award. Each year there are fifteen nominees. The presentation of the projects will be impartial and good will in front of a jury in order to reward a Laureate and a Special Mention. The submissions include

• A selection of 15 to 20 photographs, from one single series
• A project note (undern 2,000 characters) in French or in English, presenting the project.
• A short summary of the project (under 600 characters), in French or in English.
• The submission form, fully completed and signed.
• A CV (one page maximum) including the candidate’s background.
