The #TFFChallenge was officially launched on September 14, 2016! We are calling out the world’s best and brightest university students to tackle the grand challenge of feeding 9+ billion people by 2050. You’ll have the chance to win a trip to the TFF Global Summit and become immersed in an environment equipped with cutting-edge learning tools and resources, world-class mentorship from innovators and entrepreneurs, and funding for your project, all while creating lasting relationships and networking opportunities.

Interested in participating, but not sure about the process? We’ve got you covered. Here is the 9 step process of how the TFF Challenge works.

1. SIGN UP!

Registration is open until October 31, 2016.

You don’t need to have your game-changing idea put together just yet either- that can come later. Just remember to have at least ONE team member registered by the deadline, and you’re good to go. Sign up at http://www.tffchallenge.com/

2.  Form your team

The best ideas are ones that come from collaboration and teamwork. Get together 3-5 university students and sidekicks, then create your TFF team name  and add them to your team page.

3. Work on Round 1

Brainstorm, bounce ideas off of one another, plan, sketch, and come up with your groundbreaking idea. There are many tools available for you use (such as the TFF Design Lab) so be sure to utilize them.

4. Submit your pitch!

Keep your eye out for the deadline to submit your pitch, and be sure to submit it promptly by 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time on January 8th, 2017.

5. Ten Finalist Teams Announced

If you are chosen as a finalist, get ready to do your happy dance. The top ten finalists will move on to Round 2 and will win a trip to the epic TFF Global Summit, get invited to join the TFF Bootcamp. There are $25,000 in cash prizes to be awarded + loads of in-kind support post-summit.

6. Work on Round 2

Once Round 2 rolls around, finalists will get paired up with world-class mentors and work through TFF’s Pre- Accelerator to further develop your business plan.

7. TFF BootcampWe want to provide as many opportunities for you and your teammates to expand and work on your idea. As a TFF Challenge Finalist, you will participate in the TFF Pitch Training Bootcamp, a one week highly rewarding experience to prepare you for your live pitch at the TFF Global Summit.

8. Final Pitch

Once you finalize your game-changing idea, it’s time to pitch it on stage at the TFF Global Summit for seed funding. Win or lose the TFF Summit is a once in a lifetime experience that you don’t want to miss.

9. Enjoy lasting benefits

TFF doesn’t end once the Summit is over and the winners are announced. As a participant, you are now a part of the amazing TFF global community of movers and shakers which you can continue to be involved in.
