Applications are open for Verzasca Foto Festival Switzerland – Exhibition Open Call. The Verzasca Foto Festival has a genuinely natural environment, a place of peace that stimulates the interaction between people who are curious to move, seek, discover.

The main activities of the festival take place in the Verzasca Valley, located in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, is a valley of small alpine villages of stone rustic houses, surrounded by woods and mountains.

The festival aims to promote emerging international photographers and to support visual arts in rural and peripheral areas, by giving free space through connection and dialogues with nature, offering access to different forms of expression and ways of visual storytelling.

Prizes

• Exhibition in the main festival show, with a single image or a selection from a project. Pictures will be in large format and placed in an outdoor setting of the Verzasca Valley, Switzerland.
• Projection at Notte della Fotografia “Night of Phototography”. The event with the biggest audience of during the festival.
• Invitation with free board and lodging in Sonogno, Switzerland from 2nd to 5th September 2021.
• Public Presentations of selected photographers that want to attend the festival and present their work.
• Free portfolio reviews with international experts.
• Meet the international artists and expand your network while enjoying the natural wonders of the Verzasca Valley.

• Verzasca Foto takes charge of the production costs of the exhibitions.
• Open call submissions are free of charge and open to everybody.

• With your submission, you can also send a slide/video to be projected at the Night of Photography.
