Apply for XVII Tapirulan Illustrators Contest. The purpose of the Tapirulan competition is not only to give a money prize, but to set up a beautiful exhibition of illustrations that can attract visitors, both with the section dedicated to the special guest, and with the section dedicated to the selected authors and to the winner of the previous edition.

48 authors selected for the exhibition and catalogue. 12 authors selected for the calendar. The winner receives a prize of 2,500 euros and the following year is the protagonist of his own exhibition with personal catalogue. Overall, a prize of 500 euros is awarded to the most voted illustrator by Tapirulan users.

First Prize

• The first prize awarded by the jury is 2.500 euros.
• In addition to that, the winner of the prize will be invited next year to make his own solo exhibition at the Tapirulan Gallery, with the publication of the personal catalogue.

Popular Prize

• The popular prize is 500 euros.

Other Prizes and Benefits

• All 48 selected authors will receive a free copy of the calendar and catalog.
• 12 authors will be selected to be published on the Tapirulan calendar as well as will receive a free copy.
• All contest participants will be able to collect a free copy of the calendar during the award ceremony.

Eligibility

• Artists of all nationalities can participate in XVII Tapirulan Illustrators Contest. There is no age limit however underage candidates need parents’ authorization.
• Every candidate is allowed to submit only one brand-new work. Works that have been awarded prizes previously will not be accepted.

Technical Specifications

• Any medium and technique is allowed.
• Each artwork must be square-shaped, not smaller than 25×25 centimeters and not bigger than 40×40 centimeters.
• If the artwork is applied on a panel or frame, it must not exceed 3 mm in thickness.
• In the case of a digital image, it should be 31×31 centimeters (300 dpi – JPG format – best quality).
