Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) 2018 in USA 

CGI U 2018 looking for some of the best and brightest student leaders to join us along with President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton at the University of Chicago from October 19-21, 2018.

Building on the successful model of the Clinton Global Initiative, President Clinton launched the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) in 2007 to engage the next generation of leaders on college campuses around the world.

Each year, CGI U hosts a meeting where students, university representatives, topic experts, and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. Students create their own Commitments to Action that address issues on campus, in local communities, or around the world. Since 2008, students have made more than 6,250 commitments, and nearly $3 million in funding has been awarded to these commitment-makers through CGI U.

1. CGI U provides mentorship for young commitment-makers. All students accepted to CGI U 2018 will be assigned a mentor who will help guide them as they develop their Commitments to Action. Mentors are former CGI U students with academic backgrounds and professional expertise in their given fields. See our impressive roster of Commitment Mentors from 2017.
2. CGI U is a growing network for student leaders. Each year, students tell us that meeting fellow social innovators is one of the most impactful experiences they have had. Throughout the year, CGI U provides online engagement opportunities where students can interface not only with Clinton Foundation staff, but with other students and a network of more than 10,000 alums making a difference around the world.
3.
