Global Development Conference 2025 in France

The Global Development Conference (GDC) 2025, organized by the Global Development Network (GDN), is set to take place from October 28–30, 2025, in Clermont-Ferrand, France. This premier event will focus on the theme:

“Inclusive Digital Transformation: Social Impacts and Technological Innovations”

GDC 2025 aims to explore the multifaceted dimensions of digital transformation and its role in shaping sustainable development outcomes, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Science Journalists Program

In conjunction with the conference, GDN is inviting applications from science journalists to participate in the event. Selected journalists will receive:

• Full travel grant covering transport and accommodation
• Access to exclusive workshops and networking sessions
• Direct interaction with global researchers, academics, and policymakers
• Opportunities to contribute to collaborative training programs
• Visibility through GlobalDev and GDN platforms

Who Should Apply

• Science journalists working in print, online, radio, or television
• Freelancers and those affiliated with a media house

• Prior experience covering development research is an asset but not required
