International Student Conference (ISC) in Japan
International Student Conference (ISC) is an organization established in 1954, where international exchanges and discussions take place. Foreign students are invited to Japan each year for two weeks, where topics on world issues are tackled during that span of time. On the last day, a Final Forum will be held to present the discussion outcomes.
All conducted by students
The participanting condition of ISC is “Undergraduate/Graduate students, or those who belong to a reliable youth group”. ISC regards us youth as the only generation that is able to discuss global issues without pursuing each nation’s profit.
As the future global leaders, the participants are to deepen their understanding, discuss issues actively, and present their own proposal to the global society.
Participants from all areas in the world
The distinctive point of ISC is its diversity.
ISC collects application from all around the world every year, especailly last year, receiving from no less than 50 countries. During the program, all brilliant students from various areas explore Japan, and at the same time, they can have a fruitful discussion by directly exchanging their opinion with foreign students who are rare to talk with.
Spending the whole week together
During the program, all participants are spending the whole time together in the same facility.
Through the communal living and other activities like sightseeing and cultural experience, participants can have deep interaction with each other all coming from different countries. And at the end of the program, all students are connected with strong ties, which is a significant asset for the future.
