UNLEASH HACKS Mental Health Europe is an idea lab hosted by UNLEASH to create solutions for mental health disorders in young people aged 10-19.

What will you do in the UNLEASH Hack?

During the idea lab, everyone will work to find solutions for nine million young Europeans living with mental health disorders. Anxiety and depression make up half of the cases.

The idea lab also focuses on the mental burden arising from climate change, the Covid-19 pandemic, and Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

• Become an Innovator

All members are divided into teams. Each team receives a trained facilitator to guide them through the innovation process during the hack days. Experts from different industries are available to answer your questions and provide feedback on your ideas. You will experience how to do problem framing, generate innovative ideas, prototype a solution, and at the end of the hack, teams will pitch their solutions to a jury.

• UNLEASH Plus

The most promising solutions will be rewarded with UNLEASH Plus.

• Friendships

During the hack you will get to know people from all over the world and through the UNLEASH community, you will communicate and interact with each other in future events and community activities.

• Certificate

If you attend the full program of the hackathon you can receive a certificate.

 Eligibilities

• Everyone that is between 20 and 35 years old.
• They accept applicants from all around the world.

How to Participate

First, you must submit an application to participate as a talent. Organizers divide talents into teams with diverse expertise. All teams receive a trained facilitator to guide them through the innovation process during the lab days. Teams are expected to advance their ideas in between the two lab days by reaching out to relevant community members. Finally, at the end of the idea lab, each team will deliver a 3-minute pitch.
