2023 Watson Institute Venture Accelerator – Fully Funded
Looking to take your impact-driven business to the next level? Consider applying to the Watson Institute Venture Accelerator, a 16-week program designed for early-stage entrepreneurs who want to scale their ventures and create positive change in the world.
The program kicks off with an in-person Immersive in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, where you’ll meet other entrepreneurs and network with industry professionals. Then, you’ll continue your training with 15 weeks of virtual programming that’s specifically designed to complement your existing venture work. All workshops and modules take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 8:30am and 10:30 am Mountain Time, so you can easily fit them into your schedule.
During the program, you’ll receive comprehensive training and skill development in areas like Sales, Data & Metrics, Business Foundations, and Funding. You’ll also have access to mentorship and community support from experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts, global alumni, and local partners. And, if you perform well, you may be eligible for up to $6,000 in seed funding.

To be eligible for the program, you must be an entrepreneur leading an early-stage social impact venture with demonstrated impact metrics and traction. You must also be able to commit to the 16-week program, including the in-person Immersive in Boulder, Colorado, with a weekly time commitment of 6-8 hours per week. While applicants from any geographical location are welcome, preference will be given to those from the USA, Brazil, China, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania.

Application Procedure
- Applications Submitted: Complete the online application: The online application contains 4 short essay questions and should take about 45 minutes to complete.
- Applications Reviewed: Their admissions team will review applications on a rolling basis starting in mid-March.
- Interview: Qualified applicants will be invited to a 20-minute Zoom interview. Interviews will begin April 1st, 2023.
- Fellowship Allocation: Applicants are considered for a variety of full-ride fellowships.
- Fellows Notified: The admissions team will begin sending out final acceptances and fellowship awards in early May.
- Fellows Confirm & Enroll: Fellows finalize enrollment by signing Watson’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
