The Explorers Club Discovery Expedition Grants, in partnership with Discovery, Inc., are introduced to support scientific initiatives aligned with the mission to benefit humanity, address climate change, prevent species and cultural extinction, and safeguard the planet’s health. Explorers play a vital role as storytellers in this mission.
Fieldwork in the following disciplines will be considered: Biological sciences, archaeology, anthropology, paleontology, earth sciences, ecology, and astronomy, as well as exploratory projects that reveal new knowledge about the planet and its inhabitants, including regions undergoing environmental or cultural change. The Explorers Club Discovery Expedition Grants program, open to scientists, explorers, filmmakers, and educators, prioritizes projects led by women and people of color. It supports expeditions worldwide, especially those in remote areas. Grant recipients have flexibility in using funds for expenses like field research, travel, and equipment. Despite high competition, the program remains committed to endorsing innovative expeditions. Prospective applicants are encouraged to submit a pre-application for consideration.
However, the program is committed to supporting the most innovative and impactful expeditions. The program encourages all interested applicants to submit a pre-application form.
