SEAΔ is a program co-created by Mekong Cultural Hub and British Council which creates space for cultural practitioners to reflect on how their work in arts and culture can contribute to sustainable development within South East Asia through their individual and collective leadership.
Each year we will select 10 Fellows from 10 countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
The program has 4 main gatherings spread over a one-year period where Fellows get together. Each gathering takes place in a different country and has a unique purpose: exchange, create, share then reflect.
Benefits
Would not only be of use to ourselves, but also be a helpful output for partners and networks outside of the region, who are seeking collaboration and partnership with the Mekong countries.
Young Cultural Innovators
The Salzburg Global Forum for Young Cultural Innovators is a ten-year project launched by Salzburg Global Seminar in 2014 to engage fifty of the world’s most dynamic young creative changemakers every year. Mekong Cultural Hub is a regional hub for these young artists, creative entrepreneurs and cultural leaders. Every year, they send four individuals to Salzburg and offers them a platform for action upon their return.
Cultural Exchange
Cultural exchange is a central element in the journey towards shared futures. Creative cultural practitioners are in the unique position to reflect, question, challenge, create and collaborate. The cultural exchange program offers an opportunity for individuals and organisations to develop collaborative projects, participate in festivals and workshops, as well as engage in other forms of cultural exchange within the Mekong region.
