Fully Funded WomenLift Health Africa Leadership Journey 2026
The WomenLift Health Southern Africa Signature Leadership Journey (2026) is a fully funded, 12-month transformative program for mid-career women leaders in health. Participants explore authentic leadership, build confidence and influence, and address barriers through mentorship, coaching, and regional learning experiences.
Program Highlights
- Hybrid Learning Model: Monthly virtual sessions, one-on-one coaching, group mentorship, and reflective peer networks.
- In-Person Residencies:
- Leadership Immersion (3 days): Scheduled for May 26–28, 2026—focused on hands-on leadership development.
- Leadership Lift-Off (2 days): Held February 17–18, 2027—to celebrate cohort achievements and present leadership projects.
- Health Leadership Project: Design and lead a gender-informed health initiative with strategic planning and mentorship support, showcased at Lift-Off.
Who Can Apply?
- Identify as a woman and have 10–25 years of work experience/senior-level leadership in health.
- Reside and work in one of the following Southern African countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, eSwatini, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
- Work in public health, health policy, research, or related leadership roles in health systems.
- Fluently communicate in English and be accessible in the Central Africa Time zone (±1 hour) for live sessions (minimum 75% of program hours).
Timeline & Application Details
- Duration: March 2026 – February 2027
- Cost: Completely free—all program costs (travel, lodging, etc.) are covered.
- Deadline: Submit your application by 18 September 2025, 11:59 pm (CAT).
- Notification: Applicants will be informed of decisions by January 2026.
- Program Launch: Orientation begins the week of 4 March 2026.
