MediaSoundHamburg calls application for 11th Hamburg International Summer Academy for Film Music, Game Music, and Sound Design. The summer school will run for a week starting from August 11 to August 16, 2020, at Hamburg, Germany. Generally, this program is open to all the international industry professionals, many participants, and numerous guests.

Programs 

Master Classes

In the three-day masterclasses film music, orchestration, game music, and sound design, the participants work together with top-class international industry professionals on specific tasks and projects that have already been set before the course. The participants also get an insight into their working methods, gain practical experience and receive individual feedback on their own work.

MSH Conferences and Workshops

In MSH Conference, experienced composers report on the great moments and lows of their work. Moreover, the participants have the space to deal with questions related to film music, game music, and sound design, to gain experience and to get suggestions for their future careers. In addition to that, the MSH Workshops offer a practice-oriented introduction to different areas of film music, game music, and sound design. Furthermore, the spectrum of topics ranges from composing and arranging to media music to dealing with various software offerings such as ProTools or programs such as the Vienna Sound Library.

The Hamburg International Summer Academy offers other events like Young Music Talent, Music Award, Concert, Graduation Party, Special Nights, and many more.

Scholarships 

MediaSoundHamburg offers scholarships to attend the event. Young film composers, game musicians, sound designers and anyone from all over the world up to the age of 35 can apply for a scholarship. Moreover, a scholarship includes free participation in all MasterClasses, MSH conferences, and special events as well as accommodation and meals worth EUR 3,000. The decisive factor is the motivation for participating in the International Summer Academy, which must be submitted in writing with the application form.

About MediaSoundHamburg

MediaSoundHamburgis an international summer academy for film music, game music and sound design, which has been held annually in Hamburg since 2011. For ten days, national and international film composers, game musicians and sound designers will meet international professionals and renowned experts. In various workshops, master classes and forums, the participants work on specific projects and receive new ideas for their artistic work. With other attractive special events such as the presentation of the Young Talent Awards Media Music with the support of the renowned Kaiser Quartet and workshop discussions with directors and film composers, MediaSoundHamburg is also opening up its offerings to an interested audience.
