The Olive Writers calls application for Global Scholar: COVID-19 Edition.

The Olive Writers happily partners with AMP Global Youth on the AMP Global Scholar program.

Global Scholar: COVID-19 Edition offers a special opportunity for youth from across the United States and Morocco to come together to explore their shared experiences and connections, understand their differences, and work together to propose bold youth-led interventions and alternatives.

Key Elements 

• Amplifying Youth Solutions: The program will help participants to explore what it means to be a global citizen and the unique power of youth to redefine our future and make change happen.
• Exploring COVID: COVID-19 isn’t just a public health challenge. It has widened existing challenges across all sectors, from food security to immigration. Global Scholars will examine COVID-19 as a systemic challenge, which requires dynamic action.
• Building Skills: Global Scholars build skills to initiate projects in their communities addressing the impacts of COVID-19 and support each other across borders too. The world cannot wait for your action.

Benefits

This is a fully-funded opportunity: Tuition, and internet (for the students presenting the need) are provided free of charge to all accepted participants. Certificates of completion will be given to the participants at the end of the program. The participants interested in creative writing will get invitation to one of our future Olive Writers Regional Workshops.

Eligibilities

• Young people aged between 15 and 17 who are curious about their world, and eager to make an impact.
• You must be able to participate in one of the two sessions offered.
• Students must come from Morocco or the United States.
