IBM’s global internship program
Extreme Blue is IBM’s global internship program for top business and technical students. The scheme is founded on three key elements: world-class talent, technology and business innovation. Each year, we run more than 50 projects spread across labs in the US, Canada, Europe, China, and India. You’ll be part of the team that designs, architects, develops and tests an innovative new product for one of IBM’s clients.
Guided by some of IBM’s technical experts you will go through a challenging process of innovation and creativity to develop your ideas into an end solution. The technical feasibility of your solution will culminate in a proof of concept and detailed business case.
Besides being mentored, by business and technical consultants, you will also take part in brainstorming, presentation skills, and personal development workshops. And at the end of your internship, you’ll take part in a regional Expo where you will get the opportunity to present and demo your solutions to IBM’s leaders, clients and the other Extreme Blue interns.
Overview
Of course, there are limited places, competition is tough. Extremely tough. But don’t let that put you off. Every year people who aren’t sure that they’ve got what it takes, discover that they do. This year that could be you. Of course there are some basic requirements – you’ll need to go to the relevant country site to find out what these are as they differ depending on where you want to work. But no matter which country you apply to we’ll be looking for people who want it. Really want it. And you’ll be willing to go that bit further to show us you have what it takes. Flexible and ready for the challenge, you’ll always take the initiative.
Energy, creativity, drive, passion and vision. You’ll need it all. In the extreme.
