Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the IT Service Continuity team during major incident situations.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess resiliency requirements for new systems.
- Maintain IT Resiliency and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Facilitate ongoing testing and reporting on IT disaster recovery capabilities.
- Design resiliency exercises and review outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with business continuity teams to ensure coordination of programs.
- Track risks and benchmark against external best practices.
- Provide recommendations to reduce resiliency risks within business units.
- Partner with institutional stakeholders to translate technical deficiencies into business risks.
- Collaborate with key vendors to ensure alignment with cloud services and recovery strategies.

Selection Criteria for 2025 IT Officer
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 5+ years relevant experience in Computer Science, IT, IT Service Continuity Management, or Crisis Management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management and information systems technology, including applications, operating systems, hardware, networks, and application development.
- Experience managing and supporting at least two large-scale enterprise-level platforms (on-premises or cloud), with knowledge of HA, DR, and Backup & Restore strategies.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and Agile software development methodology.
- Experience developing/reviewing code in AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Organizational Skills:
- Proven ability to work in large, matrixed organizations with complex IT landscapes and diverse client bases.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Diplomacy, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills; commitment to teamwork in a multi-cultural environment.
- Organized, agile, persistent, and proactive; able to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Collaboration & Management:
- Ability to collaborate with senior management to identify requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
- Track record of managing complexity, identifying interdependencies, and taking a corporate view.

- Technical Proficiency:

Certification Requirements for 2025 IT Officer
- ITIL Certification:
- ITIL Foundations or higher.
- DevOps Certification:
- DevOps Engineer Certification (preferred).
- Cloud Certification:
- Mandatory cloud certification (Associate or higher level in AWS or Azure is preferable).
- Business Resilience Certification:
- Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (a plus).
